Article Processing Charge

To support the operational costs associated with the publication process, including editorial work, peer review management, typesetting, online hosting, and long-term archiving, The Journal of The Kansas Medical Society applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each manuscript that is accepted for publication.

The APC is only applicable after a manuscript has successfully passed the peer review process and is formally accepted for publication. The exact amount of the APC will be communicated directly to the corresponding author at the time of acceptance.

Authors who are unable to afford the APC may apply for a fee waiver or discount, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Waivers may be granted to authors from low-income countries or those who demonstrate financial hardship, without compromising the integrity of the editorial and review process.
